Using GeoSLAM data in Esri

Optimise your GeoSLAM point clouds with ESRI, an international supplier of geographic information system software, web GIS and geodatabase management applications.

What is GIS?

A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a framework for capturing and analysing spatial and geographic data using hardware, software and data. It is becoming ever more popular as we try to map and understand the world around us.

GIS can be used to;

  • Monitor change
  • Identify problems
  • Manage events
  • Understand trends
  • Perform forecasting
  • Plan and set priorities

How does GeoSLAM work with ESRI?

Georeferenced point cloud data, collected using one of our ZEB mapping solutions, can be taken into ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online.

ArcGIS Pro gives you the tools to transform your GeoSLAM data into maps and actionable information. GeoSLAM point clouds can be georeferenced in a number of ways;

  • Using the ZEB Locate backpack solution with GPS antenna and our latest software platform – Connect.
  • Using a ZEB Go, ZEB Revo RT or ZEB Horizon with the reference plate and the Adjust to Control feature in GeoSLAM Hub.
  • Using a ZEB Go, ZEB Revo RT or ZEB Horizon with the reference plate and GeoSLAM Draw.

Who’s using GIS?

More and more businesses now rely on GIS for operations or decision making. By using GIS you can view, analyse and understand data in a visual way to recognise relationships and patterns, allowing for more informed decisions.
